Our cooperation partners strengthen the competencies and innovative approaches already present in the Alpine Rhine valley. This cooperation deepens the informal and personal exchange of ideas among the researchers and other parties involved. Empa is an interdisciplinary research and services institution for material sciences and technology development of the ETH Domain. The activities of EMPA focus on the requirements of industry and the needs of society and combine application-oriented research and practical implementation, science with industry and science with society.
As a strategic partner of ETH Zurich, inspire AG is the leading Swiss competence centre for the transfer of technology to the MEM-industry (mechanical, electrical and metal industries). It provides research for industry, develops state-of-the-art technologies, methods and processes and solves problems in all areas of product innovation and production technology.
inspire brings together the best partners of industry and universities for joint projects and has the skill, knowledge and experience for successfully implementing ideas in innovations. inspire can provide solutions where new frontiers are to be broken, where there is a lack of expertise in technology or project management and where unbiased judgement is required.
inspire is a technology competence centre funded by the federal government, created by a common initiative of Swissmem and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH).
For more than 40 years the NTB Interstate University of Applied Sciences of Technology Buchs has trained engineers and carried out research and development work. It is part of the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland; it is supported by the Swiss cantons of St. Gallen and Graubünden as well as the Principality of Liechtenstein.
The University of Liechtenstein is a public university funded by the state and industry. It has trained professionals for the national and international economy for 50 years. It focuses its specialist expertise on the two areas of economics and architecture including spatial development.
It fulfils its legal mandate by offering courses in education and training, research and transfer. The University of Liechtenstein is one of the first universities in the German-speaking countries to have introduced bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in compliance with the tiered Bologna study process.
